CTTSN Jalen Patrick Broadus was born February 6,1998 in Fort Worth Texas to Rev. Keenan and Deidra Broadus. He attended Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts from the 3rd grade until he graduated in 2016. Shortly after graduating from High School, Jalen joined the United States Navy. He served his Country proudly while being assigned to the U.S. S. Oak Hill. Jalen lost his life in a tragic automobile accident on July 24th, 2018 in Virginia Beach, Virginia while being a passenger in a car as he was headed back to base in Norfolk, VA. Jalen was the light of his family’s life. He always strived to do his best and encouraged his peers to do the same. Jalen was musically gifted and could play several instruments, sing and write music. He was a shinning star and a beacon of light as he left an undeniable impression on everyone he met. Jalen had one brother Jared Christopher Broadus and a host of relatives and friends to cherish his memory. The Broadus family and Navy Moms Relief Fund has set up a scholarship which will be presented to students of Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts to enable children to afford College.
